Cable, AWG, and the throat you must match
Order the plug by the jacket, not by the pin count alone. Round-entry 10P10C plugs take jacketed 10-conductor or twisted-pair rounds in the 24–28 AWG band (many scanner leads are 26 AWG). Can I plug a 10P10C into an RJ45 jack?
